This week’s Life Book challenge is one that I put off all week for fear of not being able to pull it off. Hand lettering is just not my strong suit. Where I can work wonders, however, is in avoiding something I just don’t think I’ll do well at. So I procrastinated. I watched the videos, had all the supplies, but I just couldn’t bring myself to start, until last night. After a nice night out with my Love, and talking with him about it, I realized that the only way around a challenge was to face it head on, and so I did. I really don’t know why I doubted in the process. Joanne Sharpe’s videos are full of wonderful instruction and easy to follow tips, especially the tip on watercoloring with Tombow markers…Love!
Despite how long I put it off, I have to say that I really like what I accomplished with my first attempt. I created a piece uniquely my own that is bright, cheery and that will remind me that sometimes you just have to say “What the hell, let’s give it a shot… It’s Only Paper.”
Thanks for looking and a HUGE thank you to Life Book 2015 and Joanne Sharpe for the wonderful lesson.
