My Week In Color with the August Planner Society Kit

I gifted myself an extra day off work, to make it a 4 day weekend, so I spent the day hanging out with my Beloved, listing and playing in my planner. I used the August Planner Society kit for next week’s layout and made up a couple of extra planer goodies that snap right into the coils… a cute little pocket and a mini “To Do” dashboard.

The colors in this kit are positively swoon worthy! And get a load of that pen that looks like a small camera… Adorable!

I used a couple of bows from my stash to make some coordinating clips and a button as a “clasp” for the pocket envelope.

This sweet little card was just begging to be laminated and turned into a mini dashboard that I could move from week to week.

The quality of the paper in the kit is unbelievable and I love finding fun, new ways to use it in my planners. This time I made an envelope style pocket with my Silhouette.

Thanks for sharing in my week in color.

Happy Planning!

I have the same planner from Target & love love love it!!! Yours is gorgeous. I love the way you’ve decorated each week. Any tips on making DIY inserts for these spiral bound planners? I wonder if my bind-it-all holes would match up? That would sure make my life easy. Otherwise I guess I’d have to find or make a cut file. Hmmmm…

Thank you, Denise, and I agree, this planner is awesome! I’m switching out to a Plum Paper only because I’d like paper that holds up to stamping, otherwise I’d stay in this one. I’m halfway tempted to do so anyways, but we’ll see once my Plum paper arrives. Not sure about the Bind it all, I have a Cinch with square holes, but I think it works the same. I’ve used my Cinch to punch holes in something then use scissors to snip the holes open just along the edge of your paper. with on side of the hole open, I just line it up with my planner’s coil binding and press down with a pencil or finger to nudge the slits that I just cut open into place around the coils. Hope this makes sense. Give it a shot with a test piece of cardstock to see if that will work for you. Good luck & Happy Planning!
