Make Your Own Planner Clips In Minutes

Hello & Happy Monday! I have a quick planner clip tutorial to share with you today.

If you’re like me, you love adding pretty things to your planner. Today I’ll show you how you can easily create your own accessories, like planner clips, for just a couple dollars and in a few short minutes.

The dollar bins at your local craft store are a great place for finding planner goodies. I picked these up at Michaels. They’re wine bottle gift tags and perfect for this.

Cut out the image that you want to make a clip out of. I like to leave a bit of a border around it, but either way is fine.

Once your images are cut out, place them into a laminating sheet, per the manufacturer’s instructions. I use a Scotch laminator and sheets that I got from Amazon.

It’s a personal preference, but I like to run my laminated items through the laminator twice. Once that’s done, trim them out, being careful to leave a bit around the edges so your lamination doesn’t come apart. With your images cut out and laminated, just hot glue a paperclip of your choice onto the back.

You can give your planner clips a more finished look be covering the hot glue using a piece of felt, cardstock, or something like that.

Here I used a small, heart shaped punch out and placed it over the still wet, hot glue.

Lastly, just clean up any threads of hot glue that might be hanging on.

Add your new clips into your planner and you’re all set… fabulous, affordable and unique planner clips that you created in just minutes!

Thank you. Yes, I laminate them, cut them out, then hot glue the paperclip to the back.
