So Long #30Lists, See You In Septemper

The March round of #30DaysOfLists has come to a close and boy, what fun it was! It was such a treat sharing in everyone’s lists and getting a little peek into who they are.

I look forward to the next round in September, hope you’ll join me.

I’ve created a slideshow of all 30 days HERE.

You can also see the complete list on Pinterest HERE.

Thanks for sharing in this listing journey, I wish you a wonderful week.

March 2015 #30Lists, Day 1

Today was Day 1 of my 30 Days of Lists challenge and our prompt was “Why I make Lists”.

I made this tag using various paints, Derwent watercolor pencils, Ohto Fude Ball pen, a white Uni-ball Signo pen, grungy circle stamps by Dina Wakley and a diamond pattern stencil from my monthly StencilGirl stencil subscription.

March 2015 #30Lists Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday to you all! I hope that your week is off to a wonderful start. I’ve recently shared that I’ll be participating in the March round of 30 Days Of Lists and how much I enjoy this particular list challenge. Well today, 30 Days Of Lists is having a Blog Hop to get a little jump start on all the fun that’s in store for us. Today’s prompt was to go back to the March 2011 list of daily prompts and select one to create a list about. I chose “Things I’d Rather Be Doing Right Now”. #30ListsI’ll be doing the upcoming round of listing in a handmade book that I made and blogged about the other day. You can see it HERE, but in the spirit of showing you yet another way that you can list, I created this one digitally using the Rhonna Designs app on my ipad. It’s a great app and might be a good choice for you if you’re looking for something fun and fast that you can use to whip up a list on your lunch break or in between errands. Thanks for looking and I hope you’ll join me on March 1st.

Ready, Set, List!

With the start of March’s round of #30Lists just a few days away, I decided it was time to get my base together.

2015-02-22 12.47.27

This year I decided to go with a book that I made and bound myself with my Cinch Binding Tool.

2015-02-16 07.21.47

To create the base for my cover I used some gelli prints that I had previously pulled onto deli paper. I really like the translucent quality you get with deli paper.

2015-02-22 10.23.27

For the inside of my book I decided to use tags and I pulled easy, fast prints off the gelli plate with them. My goal was to keep the base really basic so that I have the room that I need to list. I can always add more details and layers as I go along each day, this was just so that I’m not staring at a blank tag each morning.

2015-02-22 12.48.53

Next I bound my book with the Cinch, flipping the tags the opposite way halfway through the book, so that the book would lay flat when closed.

2015-02-23 06.19.28To give you an idea how I might add additional artistic elements to my tags on any given day, I added a few circles and some stamping on the tags for days 1 & 2. My goal is to keep it all really easy and simple.

2015-02-23 06.18.34

2015-02-22 12.45.25I hope you’re as excited to begin listing as I am! If you still aren’t sure or if you just haven’t registered, you can do so HERE. This really is a fun, fast and easy way to do something creative every day, in just a few short minutes. Hope you’ll join me!

As always, thanks for reading and I wish you a beautiful week.

**Closed** 30 Days of Lists Giveaway!!

2015-02-12 06.38.38 A cheery hello to my lovely followers. I’m excited to share that registration is now open for the March 2015 round of 30 Days of Lists and I’m ready to get started!

I’ve received a fair amount of questions and messages about my past lists, people wanting to know what it is and how they can participate, so I thought why not invite you all to join me and throw in a Giveaway at the same time!

Yes, that’s right, I’ll be hosting a giveaway for a paid registration to March’s #30 Days of Lists to one lucky follower of my blog, courtesy of To give the winner time to plan and prep their base for listing, this will be a quick giveaway, with the winner being announced on Monday February 16th!

If you aren’t familiar with 30 Days of Lists, more information can be found HERE. If you’re an eager beaver like me, and just can’t wait for the giveaway, feel free to register HERE for just $10.00.

So what is 30 Days of Lists and why do I do it? It’s a daily listing challenge that runs for 30 days. Amy & Kam provide us a daily challenge, then we make of it what we want. Whether it’s a quick list, jotted down on a notepad between errands, or something more elaborate incorporated into an art journal or scrapbook album, #30Lists is a very doable challenge to keep up with.

I don’t always have oodles of time to devote to arting, so this is a fun way for me to take 10-15 minutes out of my morning to get that creative energy flowing.  I find that it really helps start my morning on a positive note.

Just this morning I made the tag you see at the top of this post with the reasons why I enjoy listing. More examples of my past lists can be found HERE. You can also follow me on Pinterest or Instagram; I’ll post my lists there daily, once the challenge begins on March 1st.

As a final note, I’d like to mention that I’m not affiliated with 30 days of Lists in any way, it’s just a challenge that I’ve participate in for 3 rounds now and have really enjoyed.

>> Giveaway Rules <<

To enter the giveaway you Must be following my blog at AND leave a comment on this blog post telling me why you’d like to participate in #30Lists or why you have in the past.

That’s it…easy peasy!

This giveaway is open worldwide and will run until Monday February 16th, when the WINNER will be announced! Please make sure that you leave a way to be contacted.

Thanks for looking and good luck to all!

Catching Up On 30 Days of Lists

Things have been busy this week with work, setting up the new blog and doing some basic level website stuff for one of Patrick’s clients, so I got a little behind on #30Lists…again. Thank goodness for weekends, right? 🙂

Day 25, #30Lists

Day 25, “What Balance Means To Me” #30Lists

Day 25’s list prompt brought this wonderful quote to mind. I think it really captures what balance means to me.

Day 26, "Rules For Traveling With Me"

Day 26, “Rules For Traveling With Me”

This list was a fun one for me, it got me to thinking about different people I’ve traveled with and how their respective travel styles have meshed (or not) with my own. I tend to be pretty easygoing when traveling. Oh not with regards to planning or packing, mind you. I am an INFJ after all and enjoy researching the place, people and culture of my travel destination. Ok, so I also maaaay have a tendency to over pack. A girl’s gotta be prepared “just in case”, right? But on the actual trip I tend to be really easygoing.

Things happen… tickets get lost, reservations can get bungled; I really don’t sweat that kind of stuff. I guess I just figure that there isn’t much that can’t be remedied so I prefer to focus my energy on having a great time and making wonderful memories.

Day 27, "I Am Thankful For" #30Lists

Day 27, “I Am Thankful For” #30Lists

Today’s list prompt made me take some time to reflect on the things I am most thankful for; that’s definitely something I need to try to do more often.

My mixed media base for the Sept 2014 round of #30lists

This month I’m doing 30 Days of Lists for the second time; my first round was in March. I don’t have time to scrap every night or do an entire art journal layout each day, so a short list that I can do in 15 minutes every day for a month is a fantastic creative outlet.

Registration opens each Feb and August for the rounds of listing in March and September. That gives you some time to lay the base for your list. It can be anything from a little notebook where you jot down your lists, to a digital version created with one of the many photo apps available. There are no wrong ways to list!

For this round I created my own mixed media style cards and cut them down to fit Becky Higgins photo pocket pages design F so that I could slip the pages right into the back of my scrapbook album.

If you’ve never listed before, I invite you to check it out Hope to see you in March!
