Video Demo: Creating Mixed Media Art Tags With Brusho Crystal Colours

Good morning! I hope you’re enjoying a nice, long, holiday weekend spent doing that which makes your heart happy. I have something fun to share with you today. My Beloved recently gifted me a set of 12 Brusho Crystal Colours for my Birthday and since I had a couple of extra days off, not only did I find time to play with them, I also managed to film a demo video to share with you all.

Like me, you may have heard about Ken Oliver’s Color Burst Watercolor powders, but you may not have heard about Brusho Colours. I had initially planned to get a set of Color Burst, until my dear friend, Angel, told me about Brushos. After doing some research online and watching a comparison video on YouTube, by Sandy Allnock, I decided on the Brusho Set.

I am beyond excited about these powder watercolors, just wait until you se them in action!

Before we get to the demo video, I’d like to mention just a couple of things. A very little Brusho powder goes a long way and there’s really no need to ever take the caps off the containers. Instead, I used a pushpin to drill a small hole in the middle of each lid, so I could basically just shake the powders on, much like I would with a salt shaker. The pushpin also serves as a “cork” for storing my Brushos when not in use.

The other thing that I’d like to mention is that the powders, often look nothing like the color they actually are, so swatches come in quite handy. I used a circle punch and some labels to punch out circles, affix them to each container and swatch the color.

In today’s demo I’m going to show you how I created this tag using the supplies you see here, which include my Brusho Crystal Colours as well as the following:

Ranger Embossing Powder in Watering Can

Versamark Watermark Ink

Wagner HT 400 heat gun

Ok, it’s Demo Time! If you enjoy the video, please show it some love by hitting “Like” on YouTube.

Thanks for watching!

xo,

Belen
