If you’re just getting to know your own gelli plate or still wondering what it’s all about, this video will give you an introduction into the wonderful world of monoprinting and show you the various things that you can create from your gelli prints.

I hope you enjoy the video. If it inspires you to give gelli printing a try, I’d love to see! Please tag me @ArtandWhimsy

Tutorial: Create Your Own Deli Paper Washi Tape

Hello lovelies.

If you’re like me, you love your washi tape, have amassed quite a stash and use it any chance you get. It’s fun to add bits of it to art journal pages, happy mail, gifts, and various other art projects. Well today I’m going to show you two ways to make deli paper washi tape… with AND without a gelli plate.

2015-06-20 13.13.25

The first video shows how to create your own unique tape using your gelli plate.

If you don’t have a gelli plate, don’t worry, I got ya covered. The second video shows you how to make hand-painted deli paper washi tape, no gelli plate needed!

Once you’ve made your washi and are ready to use it, just peel off the backing and use it like you would any other washi tape.

Gelli Plate Packing Tape Transfers – Demo Video

Hello & happy Thursday! I hope you’ve had a good week and been able to carve out some time for arting.

Guess what?!  I have a video to share with you today! This packing tape transfer demo video has been a long time coming, but after a few fruitless attempts it’s finally done and I’m so excited to share it with you!

You can find several different transfer videos and techniques available online. Gelli Arts, in particular, has a really good one that inspired me to give it a try myself.

So, without further ado…

2015-03-30 07.25.56These are the packing tape transfers that I’m going to show you how to make.

You’ll need just a few supplies:

  • Gelli plate
  • Acrylic paint
  • Brayer
  • Misc mark making tools
  • Clear packing tape

Optional:

  • Book paper
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Extra Fine glitter
  • Gold or silver leaf

Once you have your supplies together, you’re ready to make your own.

I hope you enjoy my video… thank you for watching!

Luminous Prints

I’m forever on the lookout for fun, new paints and after trying out these acrylics by Jacquard I just knew that photos would not do them justice… they called for a video!

In reality, I’m not convinced that even a video properly captures the beautiful sheen of these Halo paints, but let’s give it a shot.

This isn’t a gelli plate tutorial, although who knows,  I might post one at a later date. This is just me, in my first real video attempt, sharing a great art supply find.

Hope you enjoy!
