Pocket Letter Love

Hello all. I trust that you’re having a wonderful week and have been able to carve out some “me” time to spend doing something that fills you with Happy.

Me? I’m still enjoying the art high from last Saturday’s Dina Wakley class and all the fun I’ve been having playing in my planners. Yes, I’ve officially embraced the planner craze. Like I need another obsession, right?! 🙂 I haven’t blogged about them yet, but something is definitely in the works, promise!

Yesterday, as I was editing some images, I realized that there were a few Pocket Letters that I’ve created but not yet shared here on the blog. So. I thought I’d do that today. If you follow me on social media, you may have seen some of these already.

I’ve really enjoyed being able to incorporate my love for mixed media into Pocket Letters. Using my gelli plate, favorite stamps, stencils and die cuts makes creating them all the more fun for me. As you can probably see, with the exception of the cat themed PL, my latest swaps have all been mixed media style. I really only accepted the themed swap because… CATS!

Thanks for looking & I wish you a Happy week!

Container Confessions

Hello lovelies!

I have a confession to share with you today.  There’s just no easy way to say it and no use denying it… I’m a container slut. It’s true, I’m not ashamed to admit it. I’m fast and easy with my affections for a good looking, functional and well constructed container.

Having recently succumbed to the charms of the Sizzix Big Shot, I found myself in need of something to store my dies in and quickly set about searching for something suitable.

There were quite a few options that would accommodate my Bigz and Bigz Large dies, such as plastic, cardboard, and baskets, but like I said, I’m a sucker for a good looking container so I went with two of the Sizzix Tim Holtz Die Storage Boxes.

These covered boxes hold ten Bigz dies or seven Bigz L dies and measure 6 3/4 x 6 3/4 x 9 5/8. The lids will help keep the dust of the cutting plates and their sturdy construction will help ensure that they stand up to the weight of a full box of dies.

If you have the XL dies or edging dies, these storage boxes are available in larger sizes as well.

The next container I’d like to share with you might not be as easy on the eyes, but as far as functionality goes, it’s an A+ in my book.

This is the Zutter Magnetic Die & Stamp Storage. It comes with three sheets that are magnetic on one side to easily hold your thin metal dies.

2015-04-21 18.37.15The best part is that if you have stamp / die sets, the other side of each sheet will hold the corresponding stamps. No more having to remember whether or not you have a die for a particular stamp or having to hunt it down in your craft space, they’re now together, in their same storage solution!

2015-04-21 18.35.30The Zutter Magnetic Die & Storage box comes with its own transparent snap on lid and measures 12 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 2 5/8 inches. It comes with three magnetic sheets and three dividers. You can also purchase additional magnetic sheets plus dividers, if needed.

I do hope that you won’t think less of me for my container confessions *giggle* and that you’ve found this post useful.

I wish you a happy day!
